Thoughts on Community Building
Following up on the video about focus, I think one of the key elements often overlooked is the power of a dedicated community space. It's not just about broadcasting; it's about fostering real dialogue.
Platforms like Facebook Groups offer reach but lack control and true ownership. Discord is great for real-time chat but can feel ephemeral, and long-form discussions get lost easily. Traditional forums feel dated.
What if we could combine the best elements? The engagement of social feeds, the structure of forums, the directness of messaging, and the ownership of a self-hosted platform? That's the goal here. It's about creating a space where meaningful connections and conversations can happen around shared interests or goals, powered by modern tools but grounded in the principle of creator control.
What are your biggest frustrations with current community platforms?
